Trail Report: Spooner / Washburn County Wisconsin – November 30, 2018

Trail Conditions: Good

Date of Report: November 30, 2018

Area Report:

All Washburn County ATV Trails are open at this time. There may be a few rough, wet and snow covered areas, especially on spur trails, but overall the trails are in good condition. If you plan to travel to surrounding counties, please check their trail conditions as they may still be recovering from storm damages experienced earlier this year or closed for the season.

If fire danger is elevated to very high or higher, Washburn County will have enforcement staff monitoring trails for unauthorized use. Be aware that fires can start from grass and dead leaves in contact with hot machine components. Be cautious not to stop or park machines in areas of dry grass or other forest litter. Be careful with any cigarettes or other smoking materials and campfires are not recommended. Please note that campfires on county forest lands are not permitted in the towns of Chicog, Casey, Springbrook or Minong (Sand/Pine Townships).

Trail Report: Price County, Wisconsin – November 28, 2018

Trail Conditions: Good

Area Report:

The Flambeau Trail System (70 miles), in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, is open until spring break up, and everything should be pretty firm from the cold temps. There is very little snow on the ground. Trail dozing work is wrapped up due to frozen ground conditions.  The Georgetown Trail (16 miles), in the Price County Forest, is also open throughout the winter. It will close March 14 for spring break up.

Trail Report: Antigo | Langlade County, Wisconsin – November 26, 2018

Trail Conditions: Closed

NOTICE ATV’ers

The Spring/Summer/Fall ATV trails in Langlade County will officially close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018, and will remain closed until May 1, 2019, or weather permitting.  This includes the Parrish Highlands, Augustyn Springs, Pickerel/Pearson, Antigo, and White Lake/Elton ATV trail systems.  In addition, all County highway road routes will close at this time as well.

The Langlade County All-Terrain Vehicle Trails Ordinance prohibits ATV’s from operating on the above-described trails after December 1.   For further questions regarding the trails, you may call the Forestry and Recreation Department at 715-627-6300 or visit the website at www.langladecounty.org.

Trail Report: Hayward, Wisconsin – November 15, 2018

Hello Riders! 

The Sawyer County trails are OPEN and in EXCELLENT condition.

The Chequamegon National Forest and the Flambeau Forest  are all open to UTV’s 65″ or less.  No restrictions in Sawyer County – but check your map when riding into Bayfield County.

Miles and miles of trails to ride and the best restaurants and resorts to stop at! Get out and ride!!
