Date of Report: April 28, 2026
Area Report:
The Langlade County ATV/UTV Trail system will open on Friday, May 1, at 8:00 AM. The trail segment from intersection 44 to the Wolf River State Trail will remain closed. The Wolf River State Trail remains seasonally closed to ATV/UTV use. The DNR is the current manager of the trail and will be conducting an inspection and inventory of the trail. Pending any necessary repairs and available resources, we anticipate the trail to be open in the coming weeks.
ATV/UTV use on the Wolf River State Trail during the current seasonal closure may result in a citation.
All County Highway routes and many Town roads in Langlade County are open year-round to ATV/UTV traffic.
Due to storms this spring, the trails are in very rough early-season conditions and have some large water holes. Riders are encouraged to use caution while on the trails. Between Intersection 5 and Moccasin Lake Road is in particularly rough shape, and extra caution is advised on this trail segment.
The Langlade County ATV clubs, sponsors, and operators of the existing trails have put in many volunteer hours brushing and signing to provide ATV/UTV trails for your use.
Please support the local ATV clubs, thank them for their efforts, and patronize their business sponsors.
