Hello Riders!

Welcome to season 2019!  Sawyer County Forest trails (Seeley Hills) and the Chequamegon National Forest trails are OPEN! Stay alert for any trail maintenance and brushing that may be going on.

**Note**   Please watch out for turtles laying their eggs on the trails, gently move them in the direction they’re traveling if they’re in your way.  Thanks!

REMEMBER! the Chequamegon National Forest and the Flambeau Forest are all open to UTV’s 65″ or less. No restrictions in Sawyer County – but check your map when riding into Bayfield County.

Sawyer County has over 200 miles of funded trails, plus miles and miles of road routes, which includes trails throughout the Chequamegon National Forest, the Flambeau State Forest, Sawyer County Forest, the Tuscobia State Trail, and the Lac Courte Oreilles Trails.

Non-Resident Trail Pass is Required for ATVs.

Area Report:

Washburn County ATV Trail opening will be Memorial Weekend, given the fire danger is not rated at Very High or higher.  Early opening is not an option due to extremely soft conditions on Trail 8 and Trail 39 as well as saturated ditch lines and low lying areas. The Wild River Trail and the Railroad Grade to Shell Lake are open unless DNR Fire Danger is rated at Very High or Higher. Please refer to the below link for current fire danger status.

Area Report:

The Spring/Summer/Fall ATV and UTV trails in Langlade County will open at noon on Friday, May 17, 2019.  Expect early season riding conditions with trails in generally fair to good condition.    Please use caution as some areas may still be wet and trail work is ongoing.  For further updates or questions regarding the trails, call the Forestry and Recreation Department at 715-627-6300 or visit the website at www.langladecounty.org
