Trail Report: Hayward, Wisconsin – June 7, 2024

Trail Conditions: Good

Date of Report: June 7, 2024
Area Report:

Please note the updated trail information. In the Spider Lake Township (the upper right corner of the county), trails 176 and 174 are no longer open to ATV/UTV use.
This IS corrected on Trail Treker but not on the paper map until the new map comes out late fall. Trail Treker is always the BEST map to use for Sawyer County as changes and updates are available to make asap in real time.
Please note that recently approved routes are NOT ready for riding. They must be signed first. We will post here when all newly approved routes are ready.
Please contact the Chequamegon National Forest’s District Recreational Info at 715-634-4821 for additional questions. For the Flambeau State Forest call 715-332-5271.
Non-Resident Trail Passes are required for ATVs. (WI residents do not need a trail pass but are required to display their registration sticker.)
State law requires ATVs to always operate with headlights on.
Sawyer County allows the use of Side by Sides on ALL ATV TRAILS, including those in the Chequamegon National Forest.
