Trail Report: Spooner / Washburn County Wisconsin – December 28, 2018

Trail Conditions: Fair

Area Report:

All Washburn County ATV Trails are open at this time until winter grooming is underway. There may be a few rough, icy and snow covered areas, especially on spur trails, but overall the trails are in good condition for this time of the year. If you plan to travel to surrounding counties, please check their trail conditions as some areas have already switched to winter trail usage. Trail Report: Price County, Wisconsin – December 27, 2018

Trail Conditions: Good

Area Report:

Flambeau Trail System (70 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 15 – Report date 12/27/18 – OHV trails are open until spring break up, and everything should be pretty firm from the cold temps. There is very little snow on the ground. Trail manager – Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest – 715-762-2461.

Georgetown Trail (15.8 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 14 – Report date 12/27/18 – The Georgetown Trail is in good condition for ATV, UTV and Off-road Motorcycle riding. Trail manager – Price County Forestry & Parks Department – 715-339-6371.

Pine Line / Price-Taylor Rail Trail/Prentice Area ~ CLOSED – The Price County section of the trail allows ATV and UTV use December through March 31 when snowmobile trails are officially open and the temperature is 28 degrees or colder.

Hello Riders! 

The Sawyer County trails are OPEN.  The lakes are frozen, some are even staked,  and there is a little bit of snow on the ground.

The Chequamegon National Forest and the Flambeau Forest  are all open to UTV’s 65″ or less.  No restrictions in Sawyer County – but check your map when riding into Bayfield County.

Miles and miles of trails to ride and the best restaurants and resorts to stop at! Get out and ride!!

  • Flambeau Trail System (70 miles) ~ OPEN May 1 through March 15 – Report date 12/18/18 –  ATV, UTV and Off-Road Motorcycle trails are in good condition and will stay open until spring break up. The trail surface should be pretty firm from the cold temperatures. There is very little snow on the ground. Trail manager – Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest – 715-762-2461.
