Washburn County ATV/UTV Trails are still open for the season. Even with the recent snowfall, on Tuesday 12/09, trails will remain open for ATV/UTV use only at this time. Please note a few trail cautions as you prepare to head out on the trails. Just north of County Rd B, the East side of Trail 35 shoulder has started to wash out. Both areas have been barricaded and flagged to push trail traffic over to avoid the hazard. Both of these locations will now be one lane, so please use caution. We will be monitoring both of these issues.
Be aware that gates for a few trails that cross private property are closed as of 10/21/2025. These closures include the section of Trail 25 from Dalen Road north to County Road D and the section of Trail 26 from Nick Road southwest of Spider Lake to the county forest gate north of the Trail 25 intersection. These trails will reopen in May 2026.
As a friendly reminder, there was a reroute placed along Trail 39, south to Shell Lake. A new section of trail is now located south of “The Y” – Intersection #5 on the map – off of the Wild Rivers Trail (Trail 35). Signage has been placed and flagging is up to block off the previous section of trail. Please follow the new signage to be directed to the new section of trail. This new section of trail will be a permanent change due to land ownership/private property.
