Trail Report: Spooner / Washburn County Wisconsin – June 4, 2019

Trail Conditions: Excellent

Area Report:

All Washburn County ATV trails are officially open! There may still be occasional wet & soft spots along the trails. Significant recent rain events have resulted in soft trail conditions. Please tread lightly and PLEASE stay on the designated trail surface.

Also be aware that not all trails have been graded for the start of the season and riders may encounter portions of rough trails. Riders may also encounter minor trail washouts; please ride with caution.

 
All trails will remain open unless DNR Fire Danger is rated at Very High or Higher. Please refer to the below link for current fire danger status.

Please note that motorcycles and dirt bikes are NOT permitted on our trails.

Washburn County ATV Trail opening will be Memorial Weekend, given the fire danger is not rated at Very High or higher.  Early opening is not an option due to extremely soft conditions on Trail 8 and Trail 39 as well as saturated ditch lines and low lying areas. The Wild River Trail and the Railroad Grade to Shell Lake are open unless DNR Fire Danger is rated at Very High or Higher. Please refer to the below link for current fire danger status.
