Trail Report: Antigo | Langlade County, Wisconsin – August 23, 2019

Trail Conditions: Good

Date of Report: August 23, 2019

Area Report:

All Langlade County state funded spring/ summer/ fall ATV/UTV trails are open with the exception of the trail between intersection 5 and 22, in Parrish. This includes all of the Augustyn Springs trails.  Trails will be in fair to good condition.  Please be aware of numerous ongoing logging operations throughout the trail system.   Please use caution and stay on the designated trail system.

The White Lake Club sponsored trails east of Hwy 55 near Hollister in The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is under a closer order for roads, trails and recreation sites that were damaged during the storm.  Click here for more information on the Chequamego-Nicolet National Forest closures.

Area Report:

All Washburn County ATV trails are open and in good condition! Our area has received a few storms over the past month, so please use caution on the trails and ride with care. If you notice a washout forming or a tree down, please report any trail issues to Washburn County Forestry Department at 715-635-4490. Please tread lightly, staying on designated trail surfaces out of respect for our land owners. All trails will remain open unless DNR Fire Danger is rated at Very High or Extreme. Please refer to the below link for current fire danger status.

All Washburn County ATV trails are open and in good condition! Our area has received a few storms over the past month, so please use caution on the trails and ride with care. The Langlade County Spring/Summer/Fall  ATV/UTV trail system will open at 5 p.m. Friday, August 16th with some restrictions.  The trails south of Augustyn Springs Road and west of Otto Mauk Firelane will remain closed until further notice.  Additionally, the trail between intersections 5 and 22 will remain closed in the Parrish area.  Trail conditions will be fair to good with trail work ongoing.   Please use caution and stay on the designated trail system. Click here to download a Langlade County ATV/UTV map.

The Langlade County ATV/UTV trail system remains closed until further notice due to extensive storm damage on July 19.  This includes the Parrish Highlands, Augustyn Springs, Pickerel/Pearson, Antigo, White Lake/Elton trails, and all ATV/UTV routes in Langlade County.  Please keep checking the trail report at www.langladecounty.org for when the Langlade County ATV/UTV trail system will be open.

Hello Riders!

Almost all of our trails are OPEN! 

**The Route of Hwy 63 where it crosses from Hospital Road to Airport Road is closed due to the reconstruction of Airport Road.  Use the ‘old’ way out of town by way of Minnie Ave to Beal Ave.

Stay alert for any trail maintenance and brushing that may be going on.

REMEMBER! the Chequamegon National Forest and the Flambeau Forest are all open to UTV’s 65″ or less. No restrictions in Sawyer County – but check your map when riding into Bayfield County.

Sawyer County has over 200 miles of funded trails, plus miles and miles of road routes, which includes trails throughout the Chequamegon National Forest, the Flambeau State Forest, Sawyer County Forest, the Tuscobia State Trail, and the Lac Courte Oreilles Trails.

Non-Resident Trail Pass is Required for ATVs.
