Trail Report: Antigo | Langlade County, Wisconsin – May 15, 2019

Trail Conditions: Early Season

Date of Report: May 15, 2019

Area Report:

The Spring/Summer/Fall ATV and UTV trails in Langlade County will open at noon on Friday, May 17, 2019.  Expect early season riding conditions with trails in generally fair to good condition.    Please use caution as some areas may still be wet and trail work is ongoing.  For further updates or questions regarding the trails, call the Forestry and Recreation Department at 715-627-6300 or visit the website at www.langladecounty.org.

Trail Report: Spooner / Washburn County Wisconsin – May 15, 2019

Trail Conditions: Early Season

Date of Report: May 15, 2019

Area Report:

Our ATV Trail opening will be Memorial Weekend.  Early opening is not an option due to extremely soft conditions on  Trail 8 and Trail 39 as well as saturated ditch lines and low lying areas.  The Wild River Trail and the Railroad Grade to Shell Lake are open unless DNR Fire Danger is rated at Very High or Higher.  Please refer to the below link for current fire danger status.

Please note that motorcycles and dirt bikes are NOT permitted on our trails.

Land use agreements with private landowners for snowmobile trails do not permit the use of ATV’s at any time of the year.

Attention Riders:

Great news!! County forest trails are open as of today!! Just received word they are ahead of schedule and they are all open! The Chequamegon National Forest is not yet open but they will be evaluating the Dead Horse this week. We will update as soon as there are any changes. Also stay alert for any trail maintenance and brushing that may be going on. We will update with any reports from trail captains as well.
