Trail Report: Spooner / Washburn County Wisconsin – June 29, 2020

Trail Conditions: Excellent

Area Report:

All Washburn County ATV trails are officially open. Trail conditions will be variable and riders may encounter wet conditions and soft trails in some areas. Please tread lightly and PLEASE stay on the designated trail surface. Please ride with caution as summer storms can quickly change the condition of the trails.

The Wild River Trail between Spooner and Trego has a detour in place and signage to direct trail users around the impacted area. The detour begins just north of County Highway A, where you will be routed northeast, around the track relocation project. Pay close attention to signage & arrows. Please drive slow and be respectful of the nearby landowners. 

As always, trails will close if fire danger is rated at “very high” or higher. Please refer to the link below for fire danger updates:

Trails are OPEN! 

Trail Update from the Forest Service in the southern part of the county:

Crews were able to check some sections of trail after the recent heavy rains and the trails were holding up well. There is some water coming over the trail at Clover Creek north of Hwy 70 due to a partially blocked culvert. Mosquito activity is picking up again after the rain, but there’s no dust!

Trail Report: Antigo | Langlade County, Wisconsin – June 4, 2020

Trail Conditions: Excellent

Area Report:

The Langlade County Spring/Summer/Fall funded ATV trails opened on Friday, May 8, 2020. 

As of June 4, 2020, the trail east of Highway 17 along the Langlade/Oneida County Line to Oneida County intersection # 200 is closed due to high water.  Please use caution as trail work and logging operations are ongoing across the trail system.  

Please stay on the designated Langlade County ATV/UTV trail system in order to protect our trail agreements with private landowners.  A copy of the Langlade County ATV/UTV map can be found at www.langladecounty.org.  For further updates or questions regarding the trail please call the Forestry and Recreation Department at 715-627-6300.
