The Washburn County ATV trails are generally closed at this time. The only exceptions to this spring closure are the Wild Rivers Trail and the Railroad Grate into Shell Lake, which will remain open unless the DNR Fire Danger is rated at Very High or higher.
Normal Spring trail closure runs through the Friday before Memorial Weekend. ATV trails will re-open the Saturday of Memorial Weekend. In the areas of forest that are open for motorized uses, ATV/UTVs are also prohibited now through the first Friday before Memorial Day Weekend.
Rolling Hills Snowmobile and ATV Club Reminders: Trail 7A of the Wild Rivers trail going west is closed! Contractors are working in that area. Please stay away to keep everyone safe
